| so... apparently its summer vacation. the only way i know this is true, is that im not in class. other than that, it does not feel like summer... yet. i've been working @ the starbucks (i got the job) - its not a bad place to work, i really kind've dig it. :) the people are chill, and free drinks :) :) :) woo. i'm also working in admissions... so i'm constantly on campus... living in queens... with my gma and SHANE! (he moves into his own apartment sunday) i'm also spending time with my aunt and uncle here on LI and from time to time sleep on the couch of my friends from school (two of which also work @ sbux)... next week... i got to dc for the leadership conference... i get to see dj, tessa, and ali while i'm there the next week... MOMMY DADDY AND DAVID COME TO VISIT! :):):):):):):) my dose of home, cannot wait! then... I LEAVE FOR LONDON and hang with KATY SWANN for two days then... IRELAND FOR SIX 1/2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then i come back and work. work. work. work. then i am a junior in college and i cannot believe it. i am scared, but totally excited about this year. each year at adelphi gets better, i cannot wait to see what this year has in store. | Hello out there in cyberland...
so let me tell you about how things have been...
wonderful & insane.
1. I did my very first cabaret!! "Eat Me" happend a couple of weeks ago
and I'm really proud of it. It was also my first time having my writing
performed in front of such a large audience! I did one of the sketches
for the show and a rant. :) Very exciting stuff... definately want to
be invovled with cabarets in the future...
2. I won this women's leadership award... may have mentioned this
before... but its really exciting because my school is sending me to a
conference in D.C. this summer... stoaked.
3. I just did "The Goat" (well part of it) it went pretty well... glad to have the stress over though...
4. the zillah interruptions are this week... excited to be doing
another instillation styled show... i love in your face theatre!
5. fat pig is the 10th...
6. trying to get a job at starbucks...
7. going to ireland this summer through nyu tisch... very excited...
also stopping in london to see miss katy, woot! (sadly this means I
will not be home this summer... :( i'm really missing the 405!!!)
8. had to turn down some awesome internships for ireland, but on the up side i might still get to work fringe ny!!!!
9. i'm planning a performing arts mentor event...
10. helping plan the senior dinner (despite the fact i'm a soph)
and lots of other good things... even though i am kind've sickly
tonight and have been wicked stressed, things are really good. i'm in a
good place and feeling really greatful...
i miss my wonderful okc friends, but i thank my adelphi friends for being my home away from home. :)

things are nutty.
all teachers decide to give tests/assign papers AT THE SAME MOMENT.
this also always has to conflict with TECH WEEK.

ten minute plays are in tech weekend.
cabaret is getting ready to go into full swing.
i'm in three directing scenes.
including...
"the goat or who is sylvia" - (one of my FAVORITE plays and dream roles :) stoaked!)
oh, and i RANDOMLY got this email yesterday morning telling me i've been nominated for a women's recognition award... there is some fancy invitation only dinner i have to go to on the 22nd... so strange.
i was also selected to compete in a research conference. weird.
i auditioned for nyu summer abroad thursday, it went really well i think. i've never felt so connected to my monologue before... now the waiting begins.
today i'm going into the city to an internship fair... in case nyu doesn't work out (even if i get in there is the money situation)... so i will whore myself around today looking for a paid internship. i'm kind've hoping roundabout likes me... our "urinetown" director works there in education, would not mind one bit working for him if i could. i was a fan. :)
if i do stay in ny this summer... shane will be here, so i will be all smiles.
i do eventually want to see home again.
if i go abroad, i wont be home until the end of june.
which will mean it was basically a year since i saw oklahoma.
so strange.
anyways...
gotta get running to the train!

| been super busy.
working.
classes...
asming ten minute plays...
and directing scene callbacks.
i got callback for 8 in all.
pretty stoaked.
i'm for sure doing "fat pig" (which i already knew... :) love my roomate!)
and "bright room called day" - - - only we are only doing the
interruptions, its going to be a really cool instillation piece. loves
it.
the third... up in the air. i was going to do "and baby makes seven" -
but the role was just too big on top of everything else. I couldn't
commit to it. which sucks, i love the other two actors that were
cast... and the director is a cool guy - he and i were in "sure thing"
together last semester.
anywho... i'm thinking i will probably be in "the goat or who is
sylvia" - - - loves it. i was actually thinking of doing a scene from
it for my directing scene, not now though! lol. (p.s. dont tell shane
but i STILL have his copy. uh-oh)
had my first rehearsal for cabaret.
we improved our own rants.
i wrote about how it pisses me off when friends try to tell you that you aren't fat, when you KNOW you are.
it was really fun.
should be a really interesting process. :) :) :)
(not sure yet if aunt gertrude will make an appearance or not, there is a possibility though)
ooooh! i'm going away for spring break! :) my roomate and like two
other girls are driving down to north carolina and getting my roomates
family's camper and staying at the beach for a week. STOAKED.
okay... can't avoid this any longer. must get dressed and go to diction
to perform... "vampire lesbieans of sodom"... my new favorite
monologue. :)
